Single but never alone
It’s funny how often society tries to define 'single life meaning' for us, isn't it? For so long, I thought being single meant being incomplete or waiting for something to happen. But honestly, LIVING THE SINGLE LIFE has been one of the most transformative periods for me. It's not just about the absence of a partner; it's about the presence of *you*. It's a profound journey of self-discovery, where you get to truly explore who you are, what makes you tick, and what brings you genuine joy. One thing I've learned is the immense power of focusing inwards. People often ask me about the difference between being 'single-minded' and 'concentrating wholeheartedly'. In my single life, I've found that both are incredibly vital. Being 'single-minded' has meant setting clear personal goals – whether it's career ambitions, learning a new skill, or dedicating time to fitness – and pursuing them without compromise. When you're not juggling the needs and schedules of a partner, you gain an incredible bandwidth to be utterly focused on your path. This clarity allows me to 'concentrate wholeheartedly' on my passions. For instance, I've poured myself into photography, spending hours perfecting my craft, something I might not have had the uninterrupted time for otherwise. It’s about channeling all that energy into self-growth and experiencing life fully on my own terms. And speaking of experiencing life, sometimes I think about how a primary school student approaches their day. Everything is new, exciting, and an opportunity for learning. They live in the moment, full of curiosity and wonder. In many ways, my single journey has brought me back to that same mindset. It's about embracing new experiences with an open heart, asking questions, and continuously learning about myself and the world around me. Like a child discovering a new playground, I'm constantly finding new joys and challenges in my everyday life, whether it's trying a new recipe, exploring a new hiking trail, or simply enjoying the quietude of my own company. This period has taught me that the meaning of single life isn't about being alone; it's about being free to live a life rich with purpose, self-love, and uninhibited exploration. It’s truly about making the most of every moment, just like we did when we were kids, full of boundless potential.
