Legendary Hong Kong 香港传奇 Flagship @ Tampines Mall
Pleased to see Legendary Hong Kong 香港传奇 has opened a new Flagship outlet in the East area, Tampines Mall. Peeps staying in the East don't have to travel to Jurong to taste the Legendary foods already.
Went on weekend lunch hour and waited about 30 mins for seats.
1. Pandan Rice Roll w/ Crispy Prawn Rolls 翠玉蝦卷肠粉 $10.80
This is a recommended order dish as it's one of the restaurant's exclusive delights 独家美味. Though it is a bit costly, it is worth trying once.
The prawn filling has a solid texture. There is an inner thin layer of golden-brown crisps, when dip into both the peanut & tomato sauce and consume together, the fragrant pandan scent roll and prawn sweetness taste even more flavourful.
2. Thick Rice Roll (Chee Cheong Fun) with Dough Fritters 葱花炸两肠粉 $6.80
This is unique as I did not really get to see this similarly in other dim sum restaurants. Dough Fritters are very crispy and crunchy, and the combination of the Fritters with the silky Chee Cheong fun is not greasy at all. Dip into the light soya sauce is very savoury.
3. Spicy Tofu with Minced Pork on Rice 麻婆豆腐饭 $12.80
It comes in a big portion which can be shared among 2 pax. Mapo Tofu is not really spicy, the rich gravy is tasteful with the rice and minced pork.
4. Curry Fish Balls 9 pcs 咖喱鱼蛋 9粒 $4.50
Sounds like just a simple side dish, however the size of Fish Balls are very big and chewy and the rich curry gravy is scrummy.
5. HK Style Milk Tea w/ House-Made Tea Jelly and Vanilla Ice Cream 经典奶茶雪糕冻 $8.80
Requested for less sweetness, this is an exceptional beverage as having to see milk tea comes with a generous number of tea jelly which are elastic and of bigger cubes. With the chilly ice cream, the overall drink is satisfying.
6. Custard Crust Polo Bun 酥皮菠萝包 $2.02
Loves HK Plain Polo Bun for their soft and crispy sweet coatings.
7. Crispy Egg Tart 传统香酥蛋挞 $2.20
The light crispy crust with the fresh egg custard is pleasantly good.
The Steamed and Fried Dim Sum price ranges from $5.50 to $8.80.
They have a lucky draw for diners paying the bills using PayNow/ NETS.
