Ingredients

6 oz (170g) high-quality semi-sweet chocolate

½ cup (113g) unsalted butter

¼ cup (31g) all-purpose flour

½ cup (60g) confectioners’ sugar

⅛ tsp salt

2 large eggs

2 large egg yolks

Ice cream, berries, or chocolate syrup (optional)

Instructions

Spray four ramekins or half of a muffin pan with nonstick spray and dust with cocoa powder.

Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C).

Chop chocolate and melt with butter in the microwave, stirring until smooth.

In a bowl, whisk flour, confectioners’ sugar, and salt; in another bowl, whisk eggs and yolks.

Combine flour mixture and eggs with the chocolate and stir until smooth.

Spoon batter evenly into prepared ramekins or muffin cups.

Bake ramekins for 12–14 minutes or muffin cups for 8–10 minutes, until edges are set and centers are soft.

Cool for 1 minute, invert onto plates, and serve warm with toppings if desired.
