Grief never leaves you.

6/10 Edited to

... Read moreLosing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows one can experience, and the grief that follows is often a lifelong companion. From my own experience and conversations with others who have faced such a loss, I’ve learned that grief doesn’t disappear but evolves over time. It’s natural to still feel pain and cry on days that hold significance, like birthdays or anniversaries. Allowing yourself grace to experience these emotions without judgment is crucial to healing. One of the most important steps in coping with loss is reflecting on the positive memories and the strength your mother embodied. Celebrating their resilience can provide comfort and a sense of connection even when they’re no longer physically present. I found that creating personal rituals—such as lighting a candle, writing a letter, or dedicating time to remembrance—helps in honoring their legacy while acknowledging my own emotions openly. It’s also important to seek support, whether through close friends, family, or grief support groups. Sharing your story and listening to others can foster understanding and reduce the feeling of isolation. Remember, grieving is a unique journey, and there is no right or wrong way to mourn. What helped me the most was giving myself permission to feel both the heaviness and moments of gratitude for having had such a loving mother. Faith and spirituality can also be a source of strength, as reflected in the gratitude expressed toward God in moments of sorrow. Regardless of your beliefs, finding something that grounds you can offer solace and hope. Ultimately, embracing your grief as a part of your ongoing story allows you to carry your mother’s memory forward with love and resilience.

Some love never leaves. I feel you still. 🕊️
Some days I feel the silence more than others. But in those still moments, with a cup of coffee in hand and the morning light spilling in, I remember: love never really leaves. I still talk to them, and somehow, I know they’re listening. 🤍☁️✨ #GriefJourney #WhispersOfLove #StillConnected
