Some seasons are heavier than others.

2/19 Edited to

... Read moreGoing through heavy seasons in life can feel overwhelming, but I've found that recognizing the difference between merely surviving and truly thriving has been essential for my well-being. There are times when life demands more resilience, and that doesn't mean you are broken—it simply means you are human and growing. From personal experience, embracing these tougher periods with self-compassion has been a game-changer. I learned to celebrate small victories, like waking up and facing the day, much like the empowering reminder "You are still standing." This mindset shift helped me understand that survival is not a step backward but a vital stage of healing. Connecting with communities, especially those centered on healing and support such as #healingmom and #selfhealing, creates a sense of solidarity. Sharing struggles and experiences with other moms or individuals navigating similar journeys fosters empathy and encouragement. Living in Canada, I have come to appreciate the diverse mental health resources available, which prioritize holistic approaches to wellness. It’s okay to seek help and lean on others—it’s a sign of strength, not weakness. In essence, heavy seasons are part of the broader rhythm of life. They remind us that just enduring hardship can be an act of courage. If you’re in one of those seasons, remember: showing up for yourself and acknowledging your persistence matters. It’s okay to focus on surviving today and leave thriving for tomorrow.

Stronger Hips = Safer Knees and Heavier Lifts ✨
Weak hips often lead to faulty knee mechanics. When the external rotators of the hip are underdeveloped, the femur loses control during dynamic movements—especially in squats, lunges, and step-ups. This creates torque at the knee joint, increasing the risk of pain and instability over time. Thi
