Controversial things i do as a mom
what are some things you do that are controversial?
us moms all do things very different in our household. and that’s ok! here are some things i do differently, that you don’t have to agree on!
✨let my daughter cry it out when i introduced her to her bed. and the reason why i say this is because she cried for 5 minutes and instantly went to sleep! i didn’t let her cry for 30 minutes or anything exaggerated. especially cause we had a set time of how long we’d let her cry before we went in (15 minutes). and yes we watched her through the monitor.
✨screen time is allowed. we totally let her watch tv when there are things that need to be done and she suddenly starts acting wild. i can’t focus on making dinner with a crying toddler sometimes. so i resort to some screen time 🙂↔️ and yet, she STILL won’t watch it if im not around so it’s pointless sometimes lol.
✨no co-sleeping. even with my second baby, i still refuse to co-sleep. i can hardly share a bed with my husband, i can’t add a baby or a toddler. i cannot sleep comfortable that way, and i’d love a good nights rest before the chaos.
✨we have a schedule! i try to plan around their nap times but if we go out during a nap time, it’s not that big of a deal. we just try our best to make sure our girls are getting their sleep!
✨we definitely have a bed time. and that’s because sometimes, my toddler will still wake up at the same time, no matter what time she goes to bed. so might as well enforce a bedtime and have her sleep 8pm-8am 😂
✨no socks or shoes until she began walking on her own. it helps strengthen their feet, improve balance, promotes prompt foot arch, better sensory and nature experience! once she got the hang of it, socks and shoes are a must!
