My Fave Read in June 🥰

I was smiling and swooning throughout the entire book. Ugh Warren was so sweet and brought Savannah out of her shell. I loved how Savannah felt comfortable around him to let her true emotions come out.

I love the found family aspect of this book and also the intense scenes as well.

Can’t wait for the next one in the series!

Read if you like-

- dual POV

-spicy scenes

- found family

- small town

- suspense

- fake dating

“Wherever you want me, wherever you need me, I’m going to be there. You’re worth showing up for. If you can’t understand that about yourself, then I’m going to believe it for you.”

StoryGraph preview—

Fire Away by Lainey Lawson is a perfect fit for readers who crave a sizzling contemporary romance with a dash of humor, a strong-willed heroine, and a swoon-worthy hero, all set against a backdrop of small-town drama and danger, making it a must-read for fans of enemies-to-lovers and fake-relationship tropes.

... Read moreIf you've ever found yourself scrolling for that next captivating read, especially in the romance genre, let me tell you about discovering Lainey Lawson. After devouring 'Fire Away,' I'm officially hooked on her writing style and the incredible worlds she builds. It wasn't just a book; it was an experience that left me smiling and feeling all the feels. What truly sets Lainey Lawson's books apart, and particularly 'Fire Away,' is her masterful blend of popular romance tropes with genuine character development and unexpected twists. For instance, the dual POV in 'Fire Away' was fantastic, letting you truly get inside both Warren and Savannah's heads. This really enhances the emotional connection and makes the 'found family' aspect even more impactful. It's not just about the couple; it's about the community that supports them, adding so much warmth and depth to the story. I always look for that sense of belonging in my reads, and Lainey delivers every time. And let's talk about the 'spicy scenes' – Lainey Lawson knows how to infuse passion without it feeling gratuitous. It’s always organic to the characters’ chemistry and relationship progression, making those moments genuinely sizzle. Paired with 'fake dating' and 'enemies-to-lovers' tropes, you get that delightful slow burn and eventual explosion of feelings. The way she crafts these dynamics, like Savannah gradually coming out of her shell because of Warren, is just *chef's kiss*. Beyond the romance, I'm a huge fan of the 'small town' setting and the 'suspense' elements she weaves in. The 'Cowboy Romance Book Club' vibe that you often get with her stories, complete with descriptions that evoke images of a 'white cowboy boot' lifestyle, creates such an immersive atmosphere. It’s not just a backdrop; it’s an integral part of the story, often introducing danger and challenges that force the characters to confront their fears and grow. The thrill of the suspense mixed with the comfort of a small-town setting is a unique combination that keeps me turning pages far into the night. If you enjoyed 'Fire Away' as much as I did, and you're curious about what else Lainey Lawson has to offer, you can expect more of this winning formula. She consistently delivers strong-willed heroines and swoon-worthy heroes, intricate plots, and that perfect balance of heat and heart. Whether it's another 'cowboy romance' or a different subgenre, her ability to make you root for the characters and feel every emotion is truly her superpower. I can’t wait to dive into her other books and explore more of her captivating stories. If you’re looking for a new author to binge, definitely give Lainey Lawson a try – you won't be disappointed!

This month was a bit of a rough reading month for me. There are a lot more no’s or maybe’s than the last couple of months. But I would say that part of the issue is that I LOVED every second of What Kind of Paradise, and I read that in the first couple days of the month. It ruined me. Honorabl
