From my personal experience and the insights shared by relationship experts, the phenomenon of men ghosting after a few dates is often less about the women and more about what the men are seeking or avoiding. Many women fall into the trap of trying too hard to be liked—this is sometimes called "performing". This means putting on an act or trying to please at all costs, which, paradoxically, can push a man away. Instead of performing, I’ve learned that the key is to decide your values and boundaries upfront and observe how the man shows up. Is he trying to maintain genuine interest, or is he just making surface-level efforts to keep you engaged? This observation phase is crucial. It helps you avoid wasting energy on someone who isn’t ready or willing to commit. High-value women don’t need to change themselves or overextend to keep a man’s attention. But they also don’t remain passive; they actively filter potential partners by watching actions over words and making decisions early to avoid the frustration of ghosting behaviors. In my journey, focusing on self-awareness and not waiting or hoping blindly has made all the difference. Books like "The End of Self Abandonment" have helped me—and many others—shift from a mindset of chasing or waiting to one of clarity and self-respect. This means choosing partners who actively choose you and align with your relationship values. So, if you’re tired of the ghosting cycle, start by observing rather than performing. Trust your intuition, decide your non-negotiables, and don’t settle for less than respectful, consistent attention. This shift not only preserves your self-worth but also attracts better love and opportunities into your life.
