The biggest relationship myth that cost me 14 years

For years, I believed that if a man was consistent, he must be the right one.

So I ignored the quiet voice inside me that kept saying,

“He’s not the one.”

I wasn’t choosing from peace.

I was choosing from fear.

Fear that I wouldn’t find someone else.

Fear that this was my only chance.

That decision cost me 14 years.

Looking back, I realised one of the biggest relationship mistakes women make isn’t choosing the wrong man.

It’s abandoning themselves to keep a relationship.

If you’ve ever ignored your intuition because you were afraid of ending up alone, The End of Self-Abandonment is for you. It will help you recognise why you keep abandoning yourself in relationships and how to stop repeating that pattern. the end of self abandonment.pdf

... Read moreFrom personal experience, I’ve found that one of the toughest challenges in relationships is distinguishing between love and fear. When I was younger, like Julia, I often convinced myself that consistency from my partner meant stability and suitability. But deep down, a quiet voice signaled doubt, which I ignored. Choosing a partner out of fear — fear of loneliness, or fear that I wouldn’t find anyone better — led me into staying too long in unfulfilling relationships. It’s a common pattern many women face, where the need for security overshadows intuition and emotional well-being. Over the years, I learned that self-abandonment is not just about settling for the wrong person but about sacrificing personal happiness to avoid being alone. Your intuition is a powerful guide, and listening to it can save years of heartache. Developing self-awareness through journaling, meditation, or therapy helped me reconnect with my inner voice. "The End of Self-Abandonment" sounds like a profound resource that could help many understand and break this cycle. When fear drives relationship choices, pain often follows. But when we choose from peace and genuine self-awareness, it opens doors to healthier relationships and self-respect. If you’ve faced doubts in your relationships or felt pressured to settle, it’s important to prioritize your own peace and happiness. Remember, being alone can be a season of growth, not a life sentence. Trusting your intuition and setting boundaries are key steps toward loving yourself first and creating fulfilling connections.
