He Can Make You Feel Loved… Without Building a Future With You

A man can make you feel wanted…

without actually building a future with you.

The Julia Shantal Way:

I think a lot of women learn this the hard way.

We can become so focused on how a man makes us feel…

that we forget to look at what he’s actually building with us.

He can be generous.

Romantic.

Successful.

Affectionate.

And still not be offering the consistency, responsibility, or commitment you need.

So instead of only asking:

“Does he want me?”

Ask:

“What is he actually building with me?”

That distinction changed the way I look at relationships.

That’s exactly why I wrote Provider Energy vs Commitment.

Because financial ability, generosity, provider energy, and commitment are not the same thing.

... Read moreFrom personal experience, I noticed it’s easy to get swept up in the emotions a man stirs up—his charm, attentiveness, or even financial generosity can be intoxicating. But what stayed with me was the emptiness that followed when those feelings weren’t supported by genuine commitment or responsibility. It reminded me of the Bridget Jones story, where excitement overshadowed the quiet consistency of true partnership. What helped me shift my mindset was asking a more meaningful question: "What is he actually building with me?" This question goes beyond surface-level feelings and examines whether a man is investing in a shared future. It highlights the difference between 'provider energy'—the capacity to give and care—and the willingness to commit long-term. In my journey, I learned that many women focus solely on how a man makes them feel wanted without considering whether he is consistent or responsible enough to build something lasting. Romantic gestures and financial support feel good but don’t necessarily indicate real commitment. The challenge is discerning if a man’s actions are aligned with building a life together or merely creating emotional highs. Reading about 'Provider Energy vs Commitment' opened my eyes to this vital distinction. Understanding that generosity or success isn’t the same as commitment helped me avoid repeating unfulfilling patterns. Instead, I started noticing signs of true readiness—whether a partner communicates honestly about the future, shows accountability, and consistently prioritizes the relationship. If you’ve ever felt confused about a man’s intentions despite his affectionate behavior, you’re not alone. It’s essential to evaluate what a partner is actually building rather than just how he makes you feel. Reflecting on these differences empowers women to seek deeper, stable connections. Ultimately, loving yourself enough to demand commitment and consistency transforms how you relate to others. Real love isn’t just about feeling wanted; it’s about growing and choosing a future together. Sharing this perspective feels like giving yourself the permission to expect the respect and longevity you deserve in a relationship.
