i own 17 blushes as a college student pt 4/4

I wish the House of Hur Blushers were more accessible because they’re so pretty! I love playing with them when I do my makeup and they leave the most beautiful and natural flush of color. However, I got them on Stylevana and delivery took forever. Lastly, my 17th blush is from Live Tinted. This is the most pigmented blush I own and you really don’t need that much. Like the tinniest dot is all you need to use.

... Read moreOkay, so we've talked about some of my current faves, but let's dive deeper into why liquid blush is my go-to for that effortlessly natural flush that literally makes people ask, 'Are you just glowing?' If you're aiming for that 'I just ran across campus' healthy glow without looking like a clown, liquid blush is your secret weapon. Unlike powders, liquid formulations melt into your skin, creating a seamless, second-skin effect that’s hard to beat. My biggest tip for achieving that perfect natural finish? Less is always more, especially with highly pigmented options! Remember how I mentioned the Live Tinted blush only needs the tinniest dot? That's the golden rule. Start with literally one small dot on the back of your hand or directly on your cheek, then blend, blend, blend! I usually use my ring finger for a soft, diffused look, or a damp beauty sponge for a more airbrushed effect. The goal is a sheer, buildable finish, so you can always add more if needed, but it's much harder to take away once you've applied too much. Placement is key too! For a really natural, lifted look, I focus on applying it high on my cheekbones, blending up towards my temples. This gives a subtle lift and makes it look like your natural flush is just peeking through. Avoid applying it too close to the center of your face, as that can sometimes make it look less natural. Another game-changer is choosing the right shade. For a natural finish, look for colors that mimic your natural flush – think soft peaches, rosy pinks, or even a berry tone if you have deeper skin. Test them on your skin to see how they oxidize. A shade that looks great in the bottle might look completely different on your skin! Even if you have a highly pigmented liquid blush, don't shy away from it for a natural look. The trick is to apply the 'tiny amount needed' mentioned earlier and then either blend it out vigorously or even mix a small speck with a drop of your foundation or a hydrating primer on the back of your hand before applying. This dilutes the pigment slightly, making it even more foolproof for a sheer, buildable finish. This way, you get the long-lasting color without the intensity. And for those days when you need your blush to last through classes, study sessions, and social events? I always finish with a setting spray. It helps everything meld together and extends wear, keeping that natural glow looking fresh all day. Honestly, once you master liquid blush, you won't go back. It's truly 'worth it' for that radiant, healthy skin look!
