-Money Envelopes: when planning budget out how much you want to spend on dining, activities, transportation, shopping, etc…take that money out in cash and put it in labeled envelopes. This way you can’t overspend by swiping your card…you are much more aware of how much you have available to spend.
2. Accommodations:
-stay for free all over the world using Trusted Housesitters, in exchange for taking care of the owners pets!
-many people don’t realize, but hostels today are actually really nice! And almost all of them have private rooms available!
3. Dining:
-touristy restaurants are going to be waaaay more expensive than the areas where locals eat! Ask around the find the best spots. You will probably have more authentic and delicious food as well!
-street food!!
-get pre-packaged meals from a grocery store deli and have a picnic
4. Activities:
-there are always many fun and unique free activities in every city, you just have to find them! You can simply Google to find some great ideas
5. Transportation: trust me, public transportation is not that scary!
