We have gone to this farm before,, it’s really nice. There are slides and hay rides and right now they have a pumpkin patch. But we didn’t realize how expensive it was on weekends for walk-ins ($22 per person) and this would be worth it but we were only able to be here for 2 hours… so yeah we turned around and simply walked around the markets that is near the exit/entrance. We bought some apples, an orange cauliflower and a honey candy. There were sooo many other cool gadgets, pastries, vegetables, fruits and more… but I forgot to take a picture of anything else’s other than the apples haha…

With the vibrant orange and green leaves on the trees and the crisp air, it’s a beautiful place to spend a fall day. My recent visit gave me some insights I wish I'd known beforehand, especially for anyone looking to make the most of their trip.
First off, let’s talk about the weekend pricing. I was a bit surprised to find the walk-in admission was $22 per person. For a full day packed with activities like hay rides, the exciting slides, and leisurely pumpkin picking, this could definitely be worth it. However, if you're like me and only have a couple of hours, it might feel a little steep. My best advice? Always check their official website before you go. They often have different pricing for weekdays, or sometimes you can just explore the open-air market area, which is conveniently located near the entrance/exit, without paying the full admission fee. It's a fantastic, free alternative if you're mainly interested in their fresh produce and unique artisanal products.
Speaking of the market, this is where Butler's Orchard truly shines, even if you decide against the full farm experience. I was absolutely delighted by the variety! Beyond the crisp, juicy apples, I saw beautiful wooden crates brimming with specific varieties like 'Jonathan', 'Stayman', 'Braeburn', and 'Golden Delicious', all looking incredibly fresh. It felt like a true harvest celebration. But the market isn't just about apples; I also picked up some unique orange cauliflower and a delicious honey candy. And trust me, that was just the beginning! There were so many other cool gadgets, freshly baked pastries that smelled divine, jars of local preserves, homemade jams, and a rainbow of other seasonal vegetables and fruits. It’s truly a treasure trove if you appreciate local goods, farm-fresh produce, and unique culinary finds. You could easily spend an hour or more just browsing and sampling.
If you do opt for the full farm experience, the orchard offers classic family fun. We saw the hay rides all set to go, ready to take visitors on a scenic tour, and the giant slides looked like a blast for kids (and adventurous adults!). Of course, the pumpkin patch was a huge draw, filled with families searching for that perfect pumpkin. It’s definitely set up for a memorable day outdoors, especially if you plan to stay for several hours to enjoy everything.
To make your visit as enjoyable as possible, I'd suggest arriving early, especially on weekends, to avoid the biggest crowds. Wear comfortable walking shoes, as you'll be on your feet exploring the market and grounds. And don't forget to bring a reusable bag for all the amazing goodies you'll inevitably want to take home from the market! Whether you're planning a full farm adventure or just a quick stop for some farm-fresh treats, Butler's Orchard offers a lovely escape and a wonderful way to embrace the season. Just be sure to plan your visit smartly!
