Attending Vancouver Fashion Week was such an exciting experience, especially going twice in one year and seeing how different each day could feel. On one particular day, I almost missed the show due to a sudden seat shortage at the Nike event—I had to stand with a growing crowd, hoping seats would become available. That moment taught me the importance of flexibility and patience when attending popular fashion events. The atmosphere was electric, filled with budding designers showcasing their fresh and adorable lines, which really inspired me. Watching these young creators confidently present their collections made me appreciate the hard work and passion behind fashion innovation even more. Besides soaking up the runway vibes, the trip was also a fun cultural exploration. After the show, my friend and I discovered a cozy spot called Marugame for udon, which turned out to be a delicious hidden gem. Trying new food spots after fashion events became a kind of tradition for us that added another layer of joy to the experience. From the challenges of seat hunting to capturing photos from tricky angles by holding my phone high, every moment felt worth it. I’d highly recommend anyone attending fashion weeks to be prepared for spontaneity and to embrace the entire experience—from runway shows to street food discoveries. These events are not only about glamour but also about connecting with the community, witnessing creativity firsthand, and creating memorable moments with friends.
