a bit vulnerable but this is your reminder that social media is fake!!!
I want to share the good + the bad because I’m so grateful for my life but it’s also okay for days to be not so aesthetic, happy or shareable. so so so grateful for all 35 thousand of you 🫶🏼💗🌟
Sharing my journey on social media has taught me that it's perfectly normal to have ups and downs and still feel pressured to show only the highlight moments. Like many creators, I’ve felt vulnerable about revealing parts of myself that aren’t typically glamorized—like gaining weight during stressful times at university, or struggling with self-confidence due to height or eyesight challenges. These personal stories often go untold because social media tends to present a polished version of life. What I’ve learned is that authenticity resonates deeply with people. Being honest about my messier moments, such as having a cluttered space or feeling anxious from too much caffeine, has created stronger connections with my audience. I’ve realized that followers appreciate seeing the real, imperfect human behind the posts just as much as the curated ones. If you’re navigating social media pressure, remember it’s okay to share your true self and your journey—including the less aesthetic days. Social media's 'perfection' is often an illusion, and revealing your authentic experiences can be liberating and inspiring not only to yourself but also to others. Embracing this mindset helps build community, encourages self-acceptance, and reminds us all that gratitude and vulnerability go hand in hand on this platform.
