✨His & Hers Lunch Idea: Chicken or Tuna Salad✨

me and my man have veryyyy different fitness goals.

🥰🥲🫶🏽

anyone else? lol

so I am always looking for budget friendly lunches that work for the both of us, easy to prep & leave us both satisfied. this our latest obsession.

The Best Tuna/Chicken Salad ➡️

Ingredients:

⚡️20-24oz of canned tuna or canned chicken (sub shredded rotisserie chicken if you’re up to it)

⚡️mayonnaise (my favorite healthy one is primal kitchen’s)

⚡️1 heaping spoonful of sweet or dill relish

⚡️1 heaping spoonful of minced garlic

⚡️a mini squeeze of Dijon mustard

⚡️a small squeeze of fresh lemon (sub a dash of red wine vinegar if you don’t have lemon)

⚡️1/3 of medium onion, roughly chopped

⚡️2 celery stalks, finely chopped

⚡️seasonings to taste: black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, pinch of salt to elevate flavors

**OPTIONAL** but not really optional: 4 hardboiled eggs, roughly chopped. No more, no less 😇

Directions:

🧭 Grab a large mixing bowl. Open canned meat and drain the water out of the can 🤢🥹

🧭Dump the canned meat & chopped onions/celery into the bowl. Mix until all clumps of meat are shredded. You want to get rid of the massive chunks & evenly distribute the chopped veggies.

🧭Add in the heaping spoonfuls of relish and garlic

🧭Add in (2) very large dollops of mayonnaise and mix.

🧭Once mixed, gently add your squeezes of lemon & dijon mustard.

🧭Mix in your eggs last

🧭if the salad is the consistency you like, leave it be and add your seasonings to taste. I season with my ancestors and add a healthy dash of each one listed above. 👆🏽

🧭if the salad is not how you like, add a small spoonful of mayo & taste test as you go, adding in additional relish/garlic as needed until you get the taste & consistency you like.

This should last all week for 2 people.

For my man: He loves a hearty, toasted sandwich with cheese bacon lettuce & salad and a side of chips.

For myself: I love a good cucumber salad dip with a side of hot sauce or a lettuce wrap.

Enjoy! 🫶🏽😘
