Just say NO
Vent session
As a person who dealt with anxiety before having a baby it gets worse after having a baby. I am a people pleaser and when I don’t please someone I get really down on myself. As a first time Mom I realized I need to stop worrying about others and focus on myself and my baby. Now that’s easier said than done. I finally got the courage to tell someone they weren’t allowed to hold my baby at a family event because it made me feel uncomfortable their response was they were going to do it anyways. I started shaking because dealing with anxiety makes me not want to deal with confrontation. All I wanted to do was cry but I knew I was doing what I as best for my child and me at the time.
Some back story my baby is only 2 months and haven’t had any shots yet. I also didn’t want my baby to be passed around to everyone collecting each person germs in the month of February. So if I let one person hold him everyone was going to want to hold him.
The point of this post is say NO. It might make you feel uncomfortable but you have to do what’s best for you and your child!
