I need to move out, but I don’t know how
I need to move out, but I don’t know how. I currently live with my grandparents, but it’s starting to become toxic. I just recently bought my first car, and in doing so used up all my savings. I think I wanna get a trailer and long term park somewhere. I just don’t know which kind of trailer to get. I have a German shepherd mix, so would need to be big enough for one adult and a medium to large size dog. If anyone has any recommendations please share! And if anyone has any tips or tricks for getting out, I would love to hear as well. #movingout #trailerlife #firsthome #gettingout

If you want an apartment don’t look at Zillow, you’ll end up way overpaying. Go on google maps and look up apartments in the area you’d want to live in (or even a nearby cheaper town) and go on their website. I thought the average rent for apartments near me was 1400 for a 1bed but turns out it’s actually 800 for 1-2 beds most places that don’t list on Zillow. Also drive around and look for “for rent” signs, those places tend to be cheaper as well. If you’re comfortable having roommates use roomster to find a room to rent. I don’t know what you do for work but for extra money you could work part time waiting tables and save that towards living costs, or even DoorDash when u have free time. Get furniture in thrift stores (not goodwill, locally owned thrift shops are way better) and Facebook marketplace. This is the only way I’ve ever been able to feasibly move anywhere as a broke college student (I’ve now moved 3 times, about to move a 4th and I’m 22)
