OMG, you guys! I'm so thrilled to finally share my latest digital creation with all of you – it's my fanart of Baba Chops from Poppy Playtime Chapter 4! Ever since Chapter 4 dropped, this creepy-cute lamb character has been living rent-free in my head, and I just had to bring her to life in my own style. For those who might not know, Baba Chops is one of the newest additions to the Nightmare Critters crew in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4, and she's just… iconic. Her design is so unique, blending that innocent lamb look with some seriously unsettling monster vibes. It's that perfect mix of 'aww' and 'ahh!' that really drew me in. I spent hours poring over her in-game appearances to make sure I captured all those little details that make her so distinct. My fanart started with a close-up digital portrait, really focusing on her expressive face. I wanted to get those wide black eyes with the stark white pupils just right – they give her such a captivating, almost mischievous look. And of course, her mouth! That large open mouth showing off her red tongue and those two prominent front teeth, all conveying that signature cheerful, yet slightly menacing, expression. Getting the texture of her black wool was a fun challenge, too, trying to make it look fluffy but also a bit... unkempt, fitting her monster persona. Then, I moved on to a full-body digital illustration to show off her whole silhouette. This allowed me to include those awesome details like her curly wool and the striking white horns that frame her face. And can we talk about that white skull pendant hanging from her neck? It’s such a small but impactful detail that really screams ‘Nightmare Critter.’ I aimed for that wide smile again, making sure her red tongue and teeth were perfectly visible, adding to her unsettling charm. Creating this piece was such a blast, and honestly, it felt like a little journey into the world of Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 itself. Baba Chops is definitely one of the standout characters for me, and I hope my digital fanart does her justice. I tried to infuse it with all the elements that make her both adorable and terrifying.
