What me & my 1 year old eat
These are some of my favorite meals since moving into my first apartment. I try to avoid buying pre-made or quick foods because I want to know what all goes in my meals, and I don’t want me or my son to eat all the extra bs in ultra processed foods. While I’m not perfect, sometimes I do cheat if I’m feeling lazy but ultimately I try my best to make everything homemade. My son is not a picky eater either so he will eat anything I make (yes he tore up the collard greens, and yes he likes onions). Anyways, I hope someone sees this and can use it as inspo for what to feed their family because all of these meals are delicious! #foodie #cooking #kidapprovedfood #familyfoodideas #whatmytoddlerate #mealideasfor1yearold #momfood #foodideas
Exploring nutritious meal options for toddlers can significantly contribute to their growth and development. Incorporating greens like collard greens into your child's diet not only enhances their palate but also introduces them to essential vitamins and minerals. When preparing meals such as fried chicken or garlic pasta, consider adding a variety of vegetables and whole grains to balance the nutrition. For breakfast, try making French toast with whole-grain bread paired with a side of turkey sausage. Tacos filled with beans and fresh veggies are another fun choice, making mealtime engaging and healthy. It's essential to create meals that are not only tasty but also visually appealing to encourage young eaters. Foods like roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes, and Brussels sprouts can add color and texture to their plates, making eating an enjoyable experience. Think about using dips, such as Greek yogurt or homemade guacamole, to make vegetables more appealing to little ones. Additionally, involving your child in the meal preparation process can spark their interest in food and cultivate healthy eating habits. Quick and easy recipes allow busy parents to provide wholesome meals without spending hours in the kitchen. If you're ever in need of inspiration, online platforms and community forums are teeming with resources. Many parents share their tried-and-true toddler meals and baking ideas. Engaging with other parents can lead to discovering new recipes and techniques to support healthy eating habits for your family.
