Rental home approved upgrade!

I absolutely love the rental home that my family lives in. However, I’ve been wondering what we can do to truly make this home ours. I know there’s plenty of “renter safe” diy renovations out there.

My question is which ones worked and truly are renter safe. I’d like to start with the kitchen. It’s where I spend a decent amount of my time and a lot of memories are made in this room.

What advice would you give for a renter looking to “renovate”?

... Read moreUpgrading a rental property can be a challenge, but there are numerous renter-safe renovations that can enhance your living space without causing complications with landlords. When thinking about kitchen updates, consider changes that are easily reversible, such as peel-and-stick backsplash tiles or removable wallpaper that adds personality without damaging walls. Furniture arrangement can also play a significant role; try adding a movable island for extra workspace or portable shelving to maximize storage while keeping the area flexible. Another great tip is to invest in decorative elements that can easily be changed out, like curtains, rugs, and artwork. These small additions can profoundly impact the atmosphere of your kitchen. Remember, maintenance is key; using cleaning-friendly materials means you won’t need to worry much about deterioration over time. Each renter’s experience is unique, but utilizing renter-friendly upgrades can provide the comfort of a homely feel, making your rental truly feel like home.
