Even though I'm paid, I'm doing housework
People who take paid leave but for some reason do not stop doing housework, it is not a weak will but a habit of the brain.
I sat on the couch thinking I could finally rest, but in less than five minutes I got up and started the washing machine.
Before I knew it, I was wiping the dishes and opening emails that weren't urgent.
I understand, that "I should be able to rest, but why is it moving?" feeling uncomfortable.
But if you leave it alone, you won't be able to rest for the rest of your life.
In my head, many tabs for work, housework, and appointments are left open and I do not know how to close them.
Your body is tired, but your brain keeps running.
Actually, this is because it is bound by the old definition of "rest = lazy / worthless."
In psychology, a habit of cognition called "should thinking."
The moment you try to rest, the guilt sensor activates on its own and moves your hand.
The solution is surprisingly simple, replacing the word "rest."
Resting = not being lazy, but resting = investing in creating the next self.
Just thinking like that, five minutes in the wind on the balcony will not be a guilt.
When was the last time you could use your "rest" as an "investment"?
