Many times, we believe we have overcome certain insecurities or worked through past experiences, but deeper inner work is often still required to truly understand ourselves and our reactions. In life, every encounter feels coincidental initially, but reflecting back, I noticed none were truly random. For instance, when difficult people or situations arise, looking for the lesson or message has helped me grow emotionally and mentally. This perspective shift has improved my relationships and self-awareness. It's also fascinating how confidence fluctuates depending on context. Much like the survey example with L'Oréal’s clients, many openly admit to a lack of confidence in anonymous settings but express certainty about their confidence in face-to-face interactions, often due to psychological defense mechanisms like ego and survival instincts. True self-growth means bridging the gap between what we think we have accomplished and the deeper, sometimes unconscious layers that still need attention. This often involves confronting uncomfortable truths about ourselves and decoding the internal messages mirrored by others' behavior towards us. Ultimately, embracing these reflections without judgment and committing to authentic personal work can lead to a more realistic self-view and empowered living. Life’s encounters serve as mirrors, continuously inviting us to explore and heal parts of ourselves we may have overlooked.
