It is what it is 🤌🏼
Overstimulated, over caffeinated, under slept, and THRIVING.

Motherhood is often as exhausting as it is rewarding. Many parents find themselves overstimulated and sleep-deprived, fueled by caffeine just to keep going. I've experienced days when everything seems to pile up—kids are demanding, the house feels chaotic, and even the family pet senses the tension and reacts unexpectedly, like throwing up, just as the saying goes: "If you've had a really hard day with your kids, then the dog is probably going to also throw up." It's a humorous yet honest reminder that chaos can ripple through the whole household. What helps me the most during these times is embracing vulnerability. Accepting that it’s okay to feel overwhelmed, tired, or emotionally raw allows me to connect more deeply with my internal feelings and identify what I truly need—whether that’s a moment of quiet, asking for support, or simply taking a deep breath and resetting my expectations. Parenting toddlers brings an extra layer of complexity. Their energy is boundless, and their mood swings can be unpredictable. But rather than fight it or feel guilty over the messiness, I remind myself to be present and savor these fleeting moments. It's about thriving despite imperfect circumstances, finding joy in small victories, and realizing that "it is what it is." For anyone balancing overstimulation, caffeine, and lack of sleep while parenting, know you’re not alone. Strategies like establishing consistent routines, prioritizing sleep when possible, and carving out small self-care moments can make a huge impact. And don’t underestimate the power of sharing your authentic feelings with others who understand—whether friends, family, or parenting communities. Sometimes, a simple acknowledgment of the hard days is the first step to thriving.
