Easy Breakfast casserole
Sausage Croissant Breakfast Casserole 🧀
Flaky, cheesy, hearty, and perfect for busy mornings or brunch with a crowd! My kids love this and it’s great meal prep too!
Ingredients
• 1 can croissant roll dough
• 1 lb breakfast sausage
• 6–8 large eggs
• 1 cup milk (or half-and-half for extra richness)
• 1½–2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Colby-Jack, or a blend)
• Salt & pepper, to taste
• Optional: garlic powder, onion powder, or a pinch of paprika
How to Cook
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
3. Prepare croissants by unrolling the dough and cutting into bite-size pieces. Spread evenly in the baking dish.
4. Layer it up: Sprinkle the cooked sausage over the croissants, then add an even layer of shredded cheese.
5. Whisk eggs with milk, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings.
6. Pour egg mixture evenly over the casserole. Gently press down to soak the croissants.
7. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
8. Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
✨ Pro tip: This can be assembled the night before—just cover and refrigerate, then bake in the morning.
