Next step, home remedies with a bit of truth telling!
I’ve come to realize, when you talk about home remedies such as herb infused oils/honey, tinctures, salves, teas etc. people look at you like you’re crazy. I hate to break it to them, but before modern medicine this was the pharmacy back in the day.
Now I’m not saying I’m against modern medicine, it serves its purpose when needed. I just don’t want to rely on it all the time if I have a way to prevent the small illnesses. For instance, stuff you can grow, and even find (if you’ve educated yourself enough) in your own yard.
Garlic isn’t just to put in your food. It’s natures antibiotic (hence the garlic infused honey picture.) Here’s one that’ll blow your mind.. dandelion. It’s not just a weed, it’s got more benefits than you realize. Don’t believe me? Look it up. I dare you! 😉 You’ll learn a lot, and maybe it’ll make you want to start a home remedy journey yourself.
One of the main reasons for starting this journey is, my daughter and I both have super sensitive skin. I want to learn how to make my own skin care products, and more natural everyday products for my daughter. For example: sunscreen, bug spray, as pictured sunburn/bugbite relief, things of that nature.
Also, to not spend a fortune on over the counter meds that may or may not work. Just keeping it real folks! After all, God’s word tells us to live off the land in all capacities. Proof is in the pudding - Genesis 1:29-30, Psalm 104:14-15, Genesis 45:18, Mark 26-29, & Ezekiel 34:27.
God put this journey on my heart, so I’m backing it with scripture. If you have a different reason or belief, then do you. This is just my why, and I want to share it with others. More DIYs, home remedies, and from scratch items coming soon!
Not really sure what this post accomplished, but I felt like I needed to make it. Thanks for reading, I guess.. 🙃❤️
