Forgiveness is a gift to yourself. Forgive often, your blessings are worth to much to hold onto something from your past 🫶 #forgive #forgiveness
Sometimes, holding onto past grievances or unresolved pain can keep us from experiencing true peace and happiness. I've found that when I make the conscious choice to forgive, not only do I release anger or hurt towards others, but I also gift myself emotional freedom. It’s not always easy, especially when the wounds run deep, but quiet moments of reflection can reveal what’s truly broken inside. For example, the phrase "I pushed you away" resonates deeply—it reminds me that sometimes, our defense mechanisms isolate us when we need healing most. Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing wrong behavior; rather, it means choosing to no longer let the pain control your life. Forgiving often is a practice of self-care and compassion, transforming bitterness into peace. In my experience, embracing forgiveness allowed me to reconnect with my blessings and appreciate the present fully. Whenever I feel burdened by past events, I remind myself that forgiving is a gift I give solely to myself for my growth and serenity.
