... Read moreIn my experience, truly apologizing means more than just saying "I'm sorry." It involves fully owning the mistake without making excuses or rewriting what happened to protect your ego. When you acknowledge the impact of your actions honestly, that openness becomes a foundation for growth — both personally and in your relationships. However, accountability also means setting clear boundaries. I've learned that respecting myself means I will never apologize for defending my dignity or reacting to disrespect. There’s a vital difference between reacting to injustice and being aggressive. When someone crosses your lines intentionally, it’s important to stand firm and convey that no one has the right to push you around or manipulate your feelings. I also found that others often test these limits deliberately. They light the fire, hoping to provoke a response. When you stand your ground and respond appropriately, you can’t then be surprised or made the victim when consequences follow. This clarity in communication helps prevent misunderstandings and enforces mutual respect. Responsibility goes both ways. It requires maturity and peace, but not passivity. Staying silent just to keep the peace can cost your dignity. It’s healthier to face discomfort head-on rather than tolerate disrespect quietly. I believe that true respect arises when we cultivate both integrity and firm boundaries, refusing to accept mistreatment while also being open to genuine apologies. Ultimately, embracing this mindset fosters profound personal growth and healthier connections. Apologize when you err, but don’t apologize for protecting your self-worth. Live with integrity, own your actions completely, and expect the same respect in return.

I was 190lbs and went down to 119 lbs in 3 years! It was a long process, but i had made a promise to myself to work on being healthy (not that weight has anything to do with how healthy you are, but in my case it did) physically and mentally. I used to deal with a binge eating disorder, depressio
