I try not to end up with millions of plants but something uncontrollable happens when I see a plant that needs my help and then they just end up kind of take over my life.
Anyways here’s my plant babies. They are happy and growing everyday 💚🪴
Taking care of houseplants can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you find yourself adopting more than you originally planned. I’ve found that the excitement of saving a struggling plant quickly turns into a joyous hobby where my plant collection grows beyond what I imagined. One thing I've learned is the importance of regular observation to understand each plant’s individual needs. Some plants thrive on frequent watering, while others prefer to dry out between drinks. Keeping a small journal or notes on watering schedules has helped me avoid overwatering, which is a common pitfall. Lighting is another crucial factor. My plants love bright, indirect sunlight, so I place them near windows but avoid harsh direct light that can scorch leaves. Rotating them every few days also helps ensure even growth and prevents leaning towards the light source. I also pay close attention to the environment—they enjoy a humid atmosphere similar to their natural habitats. To maintain this, I occasionally mist their leaves or use pebble trays with water to increase humidity, which helps some tropical species flourish. Finally, repotting plants as they outgrow their containers or refreshing soil every few months keeps their roots healthy and nourished. Watching my 'plant babies' grow happy and strong every day brings a lot of joy and a sense of accomplishment. If you see a plant in need, don't hesitate to give it a chance; their resilience often surprises us. Caring for indoor plants is a rewarding experience that adds life and greenery to your home, making it a soothing and beautiful environment to live in.
