He just doesn’t listen🫠🫠🫠
As a parent, I often find myself repeating the same phrases, especially when it comes to getting my child to listen. "He just doesn’t listen" is a sentiment many of us share daily. It’s not easy when you feel unheard, but through experience, I've learned that patience and consistency are key. Instead of raising my voice, I try to get down to my child's level and make eye contact. This helps maintain connection and shows I’m truly paying attention. Using clear, simple instructions paired with positive reinforcement has also made a difference. Rather than saying "Don’t do that," I opt for "Please do this instead," which seems to guide behavior more effectively. Sometimes, distractions or a child’s energy level can impact their ability to listen. I keep in mind that their brains are still developing, so I adjust expectations accordingly. Sharing these moments with other parents has reminded me that I’m not alone in this journey. Patience, empathy, and a sense of humor go a long way in managing these everyday challenges. Remember, it’s about building trust and communication over time, not expecting perfection right away.
