Day 5

Skipped a day of posting for a much needed family day but still hit all my goals on day 4.

Day 5 -

🌸food: breakfast - Kodiak protein pancakes with Greek yogurt, berries and honey

lunch - two snacks today instead - cut up pear with cottage cheese and tuna w/ Greek yogurt mix on rice cracker + cucumber and hummus

dinner - it was a solo parent night so dinner was quick and easy - bagged salad (used own dressing) with chicken

🌸exercise: woke up before kid and did 30 mins on my new walking pad (which I’m loving it helps me reach my step goal)

- quick walk to the neighbourhood park for some fresh air

- 30 min pilates x strength workout later in the day

🌸bonus: finished my 3 litres in bed while I read - also I’ll add I’ve managed to stay off my phone for minimum an hour each morning and it is becoming easier everyday

For example, incorporating a walking pad into your morning routine not only boosts step counts but also wakes you up gently without freezing you outside in cold weather. It’s a fantastic way to prioritize movement first thing. Meal variety helps me stay on track — blending protein pancakes with Greek yogurt and berries for breakfast fuels my day with sustained energy. Snacks like pear with cottage cheese and tuna spread on rice crackers provide satisfying nutrition without heavy preparation, perfect for busy days. And on nights when I’m parenting solo, a quick chicken salad with homemade dressing hits the spot without stress. Hydration is another game changer. Finishing three liters of water by bedtime helps me feel refreshed and supports overall wellness. Pairing this with an hour's device-free morning routine creates space for focus and calm, which truly improves productivity and mental health. If you’re tackling a challenge like #75soft or #75daychallenge, I recommend journaling these little wins and being flexible with your plan. Skipping a day for family time is okay; it’s about consistency, not perfection. Also, stepping outside for fresh air, even briefly, breaks up screen time and reinvigorates your mind. Embrace pilates or strength workouts later in the day to complement walking — they build muscle and improve posture, essential for long-term health. Integrating these habits gradually into your lifestyle can sustain motivation and lead to meaningful changes. Remember, wellness is a journey, not a sprint.
