Correct Jehovah's Witnesses Theology
The Father is greater for two reasons. 1) Jesus in His human capacity was fulfilling what the first Adam failed to do. Jesus as High Priest is acting in His Human capacity. 2) The Divine Essence flows from the Fountainhead (The Father) to the Son to the Holy Spirit and into creation. This is why Jesus is the 2nd Person of the Holy Trinity. He is not 2nd because He is lesser than the Father. He is 2nd because He is the recipient of the Father. Even the Jews struggled with this, such as Philo of Alexandria calling the Logos (WORD) 2nd GOD. Origin of Alexandria also called Jesus 2nd GOD. The 2nd GOD terminology was because they understood that the Godhead is a plurality in singulariry but they lack the terminology to describe it. 2nd GOD didn't mean GOD number 2. It meant 2nd Person of a single GOD, which is why we use Person today, to avoid confusion.
Remember, all heresies stem for attempting to fully understand an infinite GOD with a finite human mind.

Moreover, the theological explanation that the Divine Essence flows from the Father, the Fountainhead, to the Son and then to the Holy Spirit helps clarify misconceptions that Jesus being "2nd" implies inferiority. Instead, it expresses a relational order rather than a hierarchy of worth or nature. Historical figures like Philo and Origen even described Jesus as "2nd God" to acknowledge this complex unity in the Godhead, emphasizing a plurality within a singular divine essence—something difficult to fully grasp with human language and finite understanding. From my experience studying scripture and early Christian writings, I’ve found that attempts to rigidly define the infinite nature of God often lead to confusion and theological error. This article resonates because it highlights that the Trinity is a mystery intended to invite faith, not definitive human logic. Importantly, the critique shared in the OCR content about how some reject the Trinitarian doctrine due to apparent contradictions points to the fact that scriptural interpretation must consider context and the nature of Jesus’ incarnate role, which differs from His divine nature. This perspective encourages a deeper appreciation for how the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit relate in unity and function rather than focusing merely on rankings of greatness. It also underscores the importance of avoiding simplistic readings that can foster misunderstandings or heresies, reminding believers to embrace the mystery and majesty of an infinite God whose fullness surpasses human minds.
