For the Wives in Waiting
WIVES IN WAITING 💍✨
As a widow, I do desire to remarry one day.
Not because I feel incomplete.
Not because I need someone to rescue me.
Not because I am rushing God's timing.
But because I still believe in covenant.
This season looks different than it once did.
I'm not praying for a husband while neglecting my own preparation. I'm asking God for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding so that I can steward wifehood well when the time comes.
I've learned that becoming is just as important as receiving.
So while I wait, I'm allowing God to:
🤍 Heal what was broken.
🤍 Refine my character.
🤍 Strengthen my faith.
🤍 Teach me healthy communication.
🤍 Develop emotional maturity.
🤍 Show me how to be a godly wife before I ever become one again.
Ruth wasn't chasing Boaz.
She was positioning herself through obedience, humility, and faith.
That's the season I'm in.
Not waiting to be chosen. Being prepared by God.
If marriage is part of His plan for me, I trust that what He has ordained cannot miss me.
Until then, I'll continue healing, growing, serving, and walking in purpose.

Moreover, waiting is an opportunity to strengthen one’s identity beyond relationship status—rooted instead in being God’s daughter and servant. This mindset brings peace and clarity, allowing for growth in faith and understanding of God’s purpose first, which ultimately enriches any future marriage. Through my own reflections, embracing this season of waiting has been about more than hope for remarriage; it has been about becoming spiritually and emotionally prepared to love and serve well. This preparation honors both the covenant of marriage and the sovereignty of God, turning waiting into a purposeful and empowering journey.
