Fitness Journey ✨
“Mom of three on a mission! 🏋️♀️ Balancing motherhood and my fitness journey—one workout, one goal, one day at a time. 💪✨
Okay, fellow mamas, let's get real about this 'mom of three fitness journey' thing. When I first started, I honestly thought it was a pipe dream. Three kids? A chaotic house? Where was I supposed to find the time or energy for a workout? But I realized something crucial: it’s not about having more time; it’s about making time and being super efficient with it. My Top Tips for Juggling Fitness with Three Kids: Embrace the Early Bird (or Night Owl) Workout: This might sound cliché, but for me, waking up before the kids is a game-changer. Even 30 minutes of quiet time to get a quick HIIT session or some weights in makes a huge difference. If mornings are impossible, sometimes a quick workout after they're all in bed works too. It’s about finding your window. Home Workouts Are Your Best Friend: Forget the gym membership if it adds stress. My living room has become my personal gym! There are so many amazing free (or affordable) apps and YouTube channels that offer fantastic routines you can do with minimal equipment. Think bodyweight exercises, resistance bands, or even using your kids as weights (carefully, of course!). Involve the Little Ones (Sometimes!): Not every workout, but sometimes we turn it into a family affair. Go for a bike ride, play tag at the park, or even put on some music and have a dance party. It’s not always a structured 'workout,' but it keeps us all active and teaches them healthy habits. Prioritize Sleep (as much as possible): This is tough, I know. But when I'm sleep-deprived, my motivation for fitness (and everything else!) plummets. Try to establish a consistent bedtime routine for yourself, just like you do for your kids. Meal Prep Like a Pro: When you’re constantly feeding little humans, it’s easy to grab whatever’s quickest (and often not the healthiest) for yourself. Spending an hour or two on Sunday prepping healthy snacks and meals for the week saves so much time and keeps me on track. Think chopped veggies, grilled chicken, hard-boiled eggs. Be Kind to Yourself & Adjust Expectations: There will be days when the workout just doesn't happen. The baby woke up, someone got sick, or you just have zero energy. And that's okay! Don't let one missed day derail your entire 'in her fitness journey.' Consistency isn't perfection; it's about getting back on track. This whole "Pov: Mom of three in her fitness journey" is about progress, not speed. Find Your "Why": On those really tough days, remember why you started. For me, it's not just about looking good, but feeling strong, having more energy to keep up with my kids, and setting a good example for them. Your 'why' will be your strongest motivator. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and every small effort adds up. We got this, mamas! 💪
