Weekends are the perfect opportunity to unwind and reconnect with friends, and my weekend from March 21 to 23, 2026, was no exception. One thing I found especially rewarding was visiting local spots like Mad City Windows & Baths, known as the Midwest's top remodeler. It was interesting to see their work and get inspired for home improvements. Another highlight was browsing the unique finds at Earthbound Trading Company, which always offers a cozy, eclectic shopping experience. I discovered some cute items that I’m excited to incorporate into my space. Music also played a big part in my relaxation. Listening to songs like "Mama I Lied" by Megan Moroney during drives helped set the perfect mood for unwinding. I highly recommend creating a weekend playlist suited to your vibe—it really enhances the experience. I also appreciate the simple pleasure of checking in with friends and catching up face-to-face. Those moments remind me how important social connections are for maintaining a healthy balance between work and life. Lastly, I noticed the weather was pleasantly warm at 73°, which made outdoor strolls even more enjoyable. Spring weekends like this inspire me to spend more time outside, breathing fresh air and soaking up the sun. In summary, my weekend was a blend of social interaction, music, shopping, and relaxation — a combination that rejuvenated my spirit and prepared me for the week ahead. I encourage everyone to take advantage of their weekends to explore local gems, spend quality time with friends, and find joy in small moments.
