Must have flash cards for toddlers development
These number flash cards from Dollar Tree have been one of the best budget-friendly finds for my toddler’s development. The set comes with two types of cards: one with the actual number and the other showing that number visually using fruits. It’s such a simple concept, but it really helps toddlers make the connection between numbers and quantity. For example, they’ll see the number “3” on one card and then count three apples on the matching card.
We use them during quiet time, snack time, or even while waiting in the car, and it keeps my toddler engaged while building early math skills. It also supports number recognition, counting, and even introduces basic matching. I love that it's hands-on and screen-free—and that I can turn it into a game by having them match the numbers to the fruit cards. For just a dollar, it's a developmentally rich activity that we reach for all the time. Learning through play has never been easier—or cheaper!
