Navigating cancer treatment is emotionally and physically challenging, but I found that journaling played a key role in helping me process my experiences and track my progress. This makes it easier to recognize patterns and communicate with healthcare providers. What really resonated with me was keeping a personal journal for those deeper feelings that sometimes don't come out during appointments. Writing down thoughts and reflections honestly helped me manage anxiety and stay motivated during tough days. For anyone going through cancer treatment, I highly recommend finding or creating a journal that suits your journey. It can be a therapeutic tool to release pent-up stress. Aside from journaling, establishing a routine was crucial. Having a dedicated workspace and setting consistent hours helped me treat my recovery like a project, maintaining discipline and focus. Starting a business around my experiences gave me purpose and a creative outlet—another important aspect of healing to consider. Additionally, I developed a preteen book series targeting young readers, especially inspired by my desire to reach a younger audience with meaningful stories. This project is now available on Amazon and helps me balance personal healing with professional growth. Overall, my advice to others on a similar path is to embrace tools that support your mental and physical health, keep a schedule that motivates you, and explore creative projects that bring joy. Healing is not just medical—it’s emotional, psychological, and deeply personal.
