Post of the Day

I didn’t know how my first market would go.

I had the doubts. The nerves. The “what ifs.”

But I showed up anyway.

And yesterday reminded me of something important—

sometimes the things we’re most afraid of

are the very things that move us forward.

It wasn’t just about the sales.

It was about sharing my work, connecting with people, and realizing…

I can do this.

And that feeling is everything. 🤍 #HelloLemon8 #Lemon8Diary #Lemon8Diary #postoftheday

Like many, I was filled with apprehension—unsure about how people would receive my work or if I would even make any sales. The phrase “I showed up scared” perfectly captures that moment of uncertainty. However, I found that sometimes, the anticipation is worse than the reality. What I learned is that participating in markets is not solely about transactions. It’s about the joy of sharing something you’ve created, the excitement of meeting new people, and the invaluable experience of stepping into the spotlight. These encounters often lead to unexpected encouragement and inspiration that push you forward. Moreover, embracing the fear and showing up despite it created a shift in my mindset. Instead of focusing on potential failure, I began to appreciate the progress I was making. This feeling—realizing "I can do this"—changed my perspective and motivated me to continue growing both personally and professionally. From a practical point of view, new sellers might find it helpful to prepare a bit beforehand by practicing their sales pitch or setting realistic goals for the event. Remember, the connections you make and the lessons you learn are just as valuable as any sale. In summary, taking that first chance was a pivotal moment. The nerves and doubts are natural, but they shouldn’t stop you from pursuing what matters. Sometimes the things we’re most afraid of become the very experiences that move us forward and open doors to new opportunities.

If you’re in a slump, this post is for you
exit your lazy girl era once and for all with these four daily habits. -Get up an hour earlier. With an extra hour added to your day you will be able to accomplish so many extra tasks. If you struggle with getting up early try using the 5 second rule to get out of bed when your alarm goes off.
