Being Obedient To The Holy Spirit’s Convictions

I can’t even lie to you the original song that goes with this dance is not Christian at all😆 And just as I was about to post the original sound I got the strongest conviction from the Holy Spirit reminding me of 2 Corinthians 4:5 that my platform and everything I do should point back to God who provided in the first place.

I’m currently doing the Bible In 52 Weeks study plan and we’re in Matthew and omg! Jesus was eating everybody up but more specifically Matthew 5:13-16 is a powerful reminder that everything we do should glorify God.

With that said, it’s wild how sneaky those grey areas really try to sneak into our lives but thank God for discernment and the strength to be obedient when He nudges🥰

Navigating daily life while striving to honor God can be challenging, especially when subtle temptations and ‘grey areas’ appear. From my personal experience, the key to growing in faith is developing a sensitive heart to the Holy Spirit’s nudges and convictions. For example, I once planned to share a popular but non-Christian song for a fun dance video. Just before posting, I felt a compelling conviction to reconsider, recalling 2 Corinthians 4:5 which reminds believers to ensure everything points back to God, our ultimate provider. Making this shift wasn’t just about avoiding certain music—it was about using my platform intentionally to uplift Christ. This change led me to seek out Christian artists and worship songs that reflect my values and faith journey, enriching both the content I share and my personal walk. Another scripture that deeply impacted me is Matthew 5:13-16, where believers are called to be the salt and light of the world. This passage encourages us to live visibly for Christ, let our good deeds glorify God, and resist blending into secular patterns. Applying this taught me to examine choices carefully and embrace discernment through prayer and scripture study. Participating in structured Bible plans like 'Bible In 52 Weeks' has also been instrumental in grounding my faith and helping me stay consistent in God’s Word. These experiences collectively strengthen my resolve to listen closely to the Holy Spirit and act obediently, trusting that even small acts of faithfulness contribute to spiritual growth and witness. If you find yourself wrestling with similar challenges, I encourage you to cultivate a habit of pausing and praying before making decisions about your actions or content you share. Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity, be mindful of subtle influences, and remember that obedience often leads to unexpected blessings and deeper peace. Ultimately, our consistent choices to honor God in both big and small ways shape us into new creations in Christ.
