FIVE BIG LESSONS I LEARNED IN MY 20s

1. I know this is cliche and easier said than done, but when I realized that Gods opinions mattered more than others, I was much more confident in how I was designed. This led me to make decisions based on my gifts and not what people said about me

2. Our 20s are full of a lot of tests. When we’re confident in what we believe, the answer to those tests become a lot easier.

3. Forgive not just for their sake, but for your own too. It doesn’t mean a relationship has to continue, but keeping a list of wrongs has rarely benefited anyone. Besides, we all need forgiveness at some point. Christ forgave us, so we must too.

4. You were designed beautifully. You are fearfully and wonderfully made! You’re not perfect, but don’t put down God’s child (YOU!).

5. You’re going to make mistakes, so humility is necessary. Being coachable and having humility will allow you to learn and grow! Commit to becoming who God designed you to be.

What would you add to this list?

Many find that during this transformative decade, they learn crucial life lessons that help shape their identity and future. 1. **Self-Worth Over External Validation:** It’s common for young adults to seek approval from peers, but realizing that your value doesn’t hinge on others’ opinions can significantly boost your confidence. Embrace your individuality and recognize your unique gifts. 2. **Building Resilience:** Life will throw numerous tests your way. Building a solid foundation in your beliefs helps tackle these challenges. Remember, it’s not about avoiding mistakes, but how you respond to them that matters. 3. **The Power of Forgiveness:** Forgiveness is essential for emotional well-being. Letting go of grudges not only lightens your burden but also fosters healthier relationships. It’s about freeing yourself from the weight of past wrongs. 4. **Embracing Imperfection:** Understanding that everyone has flaws can help you accept your own imperfections. Celebrate your uniqueness and remember that you are wonderfully made. 5. **Cultivating Humility:** Humility allows for personal growth. Be open to feedback, learn from experiences, and respect the perspectives of others. This openness will pave the way for meaningful growth and collaboration as you evolve into the person you are meant to be. In conclusion, your 20s are a golden opportunity for self-discovery. Embrace the lessons, stay true to yourself, and encourage others to share their insights in this journey of growth.
