•Sweatpants• Sweatpants are very controversial and can be dressed up or down. They also have many different styles like wide legs, flares, cuffed, high waist, low waist, etc. Great piece for a more cozy vibe/ look.

•Half zip scuba• I love these types of zip ups because they are perfect for off the shoulder or more modest look. You can also get it in a full zip or a quarter zip (other brands).

•Hoodies• Hoodies can be oversized or more fit forming, it’s an easy for a nice pullover and can be worn with any bottoms. It also goes for crew necks. Crewnecks are for more warmer weather but also cold enough for a sweater.

•Bottoms• I highly recommend getting any type of BLACK or NEUTRAL color bottoms to start because they are so convenient and go with anything. Shorts, flare leggings, regular leggings, jeans, and any other fancy type of bottoms. Highly recommend getting a pair of black leggings.

... Read moreHey everyone! Building on my initial list of back-to-school essentials, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into making these basics work even harder for your wardrobe and add a few more must-haves, especially for those low-key mornings or quick changes. It's all about maximizing comfort and style without breaking the bank! Let's start with those incredibly versatile sweatpants. Whether you love the relaxed fit of wide-leg styles or the classic comfort of cuffed ones, they're not just for lounging. You can easily elevate them! Try pairing your comfy Sweat Pants (like those great finds on Amazon) with a fitted Baby Tee from brands like Edikted or a clean, basic long-sleeve from Amazon for a chic, casual vibe. Add some fresh white sneakers, and you're good to go. For cooler days, throwing on an oversized hoodie – again, Amazon has fantastic, affordable options – or a stylish Scuba half zip from Lululemon makes for an effortlessly cool and cozy outfit perfect for campus or chilling with friends. These are truly year-round staples! When it comes to other bottoms, beyond those essential black or neutral flared leggings and crossover leggings from Aerie, don't underestimate the power of a good pair of classic jeans. American Eagle is always a go-to for durable and comfortable styles that you can wear daily. A versatile pair of light-wash straight-leg jeans, as seen in some of my favorite looks, can be dressed up or down. And for warmer days or sports practices, those Hottie Hot Shorts from Lululemon are amazing for athletic activities or just staying cool and comfy when you're on the go. Having a few different styles of neutral bottoms means you can literally create dozens of outfits. Now, about shoes! The original post asked for ideas, and I totally agree that basic shoes are absolute game-changers for any back-to-school wardrobe. My absolute go-to recommendation for school is a pair of classic white sneakers – they literally go with everything, from jeans to leggings, and even some casual dresses. Beyond that, comfortable slip-on flats or loafers are perfect for a slightly dressier but still practical vibe, ideal for presentations or days you want to feel a bit more put-together. For the cooler months, a sturdy pair of ankle boots can transition seamlessly from fall to winter, adding a touch of edge to any outfit. Having a few versatile shoe options means you can create endless looks with just a few clothing basics, stretching your budget further. Finally, layering is your secret weapon for school fashion! A simple long-sleeve tee or a Basic long top under a hoodie, or a basic camisole under a half-zip, can extend the wearability of your pieces across different temperatures and seasons. And don't underestimate the power of smart accessories – a functional yet stylish backpack, a cute scrunchie, a simple baseball cap, or even a delicate necklace can completely change the feel of an outfit and express your personal style without needing a whole new wardrobe. Remember, it's all about comfort, practicality, and making those basic pieces work hard for you throughout the school year, ensuring you look great without the stress!
