Now I wear sweat suits 😂
I've always held myself to a high standard when it comes to how I present myself to the world. Growing up, I was raised to look clean, polished, and put-together, which for a long time meant never stepping outside without makeup or nice clothes. But recently, I've discovered the joy of sweat suits—not just any sweat suits, but those that make me feel comfortable and still confident. Seeing people casually dressed in sweat suits with uncombed hair or pajamas used to surprise me. I thought that kind of effortless look was just not me. However, I realized that my version of looking good doesn’t have to involve heavy makeup or formal outfits every day. Instead, it’s about how I feel inside and how I carry myself regardless of my attire. Wearing sweat suits today does not mean letting myself go—it means expressing myself in a way that aligns with where I am in life. I still shower, clean up, and ensure I smell fresh because self-care is about feeling good for myself, not just for others. When I dress comfortably yet mindfully, I walk taller and feel more confident. Taking care of yourself doesn’t have to be exhausting. It can be simple and sincere—whether you’re grabbing coffee with friends or running errands. It’s about honoring who you are and feeling good in your skin. Don’t feel pressured to always do the most; sometimes, the most loving thing you can do is to prioritize your comfort while maintaining a clean and presentable look. I used to think that makeup and elaborate outfits were the only way to express who I am, but fashion is art, and self-care is flexible. Wearing sweat suits is my way of balancing comfort, happiness, and self-expression, proving that self-care and looking good for yourself can definitely go hand in hand.
