she turned 3 this month, along with her sister 🥹💖

Can you believe it? My two precious kitties just celebrated their third birthday! It feels like just yesterday they were tiny fluff balls, and now they're three whole years old. Time truly flies when you're having so much fun with your fur babies! This year, for Autumn and her sister's big day, I decided to make it extra special. We had a mini cat-friendly cake (just a dollop of whipped cream on their favorite pate for a treat!) and a few new interactive toys they’ve been eyeing. Watching them bat around their new feather wand was absolutely priceless. It's so important to mark these milestones, even for our pets, to celebrate the joy they bring into our lives. Three years old is such a fun age for cats. They're past the super energetic, sometimes destructive, kitten stage but still full of energy and curiosity. They've really settled into their personalities. Autumn, my beautiful calico cat with the distinctive half-faced pattern, is still as mischievous as ever. I remember one time, just like in that photo where she looked so displeased after being caught trying to eat something off the ground, she has this way of giving me the side-eye when she knows she’s done something she shouldn’t have. Her expressions are truly priceless! Living with cats at this age is a delightful balance. They're independent but still crave affection and playtime. Autumn always cracks me up. One minute she's giving me that 'don't tell me what to do' look, and the next she's rolling on her back, begging for belly rubs with those wide, innocent eyes. Her sister is a bit more reserved but equally loving. It’s amazing how different their personalities are, even though they grew up together. For anyone with adult kitties, keeping them engaged is key. Even at three, they need playtime, mental stimulation, and a balanced diet. I've found that rotating toys keeps things fresh, and puzzle feeders are fantastic for mental exercise. Also, don't underestimate the power of a good window perch or some vertical climbing space – cats love to survey their kingdom from up high! Regular vet check-ups are also crucial to ensure they stay healthy and happy as they enter their prime adult years. The bond I share with my kitties is truly special. Every day is an adventure with them, from their morning cuddles to their evening zoomies. Celebrating milestones like their birthday just makes it even sweeter and reminds me of all the love and laughter they bring into my home. Here's to many more happy years with my sweet calico cats!
