What I Would Write About 📝
1. Being a system.
I’ve never heard of a SINGLE book about DID/OSDD/UDD that wasn’t a medical thing. I wish I could hear more about other multiple’s experiences and how they realized they have a CDD, I feel like it could be a great help to our community.
2. Mental illness and how it affects kids.
I’m mentally ill (obviously), I have AuDHD and UDD. I’ve known about the system since 11 years old and even when I didn’t know, the signs and symptoms still affected me and made me feel absolutely horrible for things I couldn’t (and still can’t) control. Every now and again I STILL feel guilty for my brain just trying to keep me alive. I want to write about that. I want other kids, teens, and adults to understand what it’s like or understand that they’re not struggling on their own.
3. My OCs!
Okok so (eek ><!!) I have these OCs, Ivar, Erik, and Astrid, it’s like if Brave was in a perpetually wintery environment and they were forced to adapt around that. Also Ivar is having an affair with Erik but he’s married to Astrid. They used to be in love, but there was a massive falling out between their whole families and now they just hate each other but Astrid’s essentially doomed if they get a divorce because she’d be a single woman with little to no job offers (midwife, wench, weaver, either way they barely survive).

As a writer myself, the only way to get good at writing is to start! My advice is to read books in the style you enjoy (I looove Tolkien for the worldbuilding) & that’ll already help you notice writing patterns & stuff!! The biggest focus is to get words on paper, even if it’s just “and then something happens” or smth!
