Road Trip thoughts ✨
Right now, I’m driving to New Brunswick to graduate with my Master’s in Counselling Psychology—a milestone I’ve worked toward for years. But what’s funny is, all I can think about is music.
Not because this degree doesn’t matter. It does. It’s one of my dream jobs—to be a psychotherapist, to create safer spaces for artists and young people, to help others live a full, healed life. But music has always been there. It’s been the pulse underneath everything. And today, more than ever, I see how the two are intertwined.
Rayne and I have carried these dreams with us since we were kids. And now, somehow, it all makes sense—not just emotionally, but spiritually and logically too. We’ve had to do the hard things: cut people off, confront our own self-worth, trust the vision even when it felt like no one else could see it.
This road has taken us through a lot—highs, lows, breakdowns, breakthroughs. Moments that felt like failures that were actually lessons. People who left but left behind wisdom. Times we thought we were being broken, but were really being built.
And I wouldn’t change any of it.
Every heartbreak, every lonely night, every tiny win that kept us going when we wanted to stop—it all shaped me. Now I get to pour all of that into the music. Now I get to use what I’ve learned in therapy rooms and writing sessions alike.
Becoming a psychotherapist is one of my proudest accomplishments because it means I get to hold space—for myself, for clients, for artists navigating the messiness of life. I want my music to be part of that too. I want it to speak to the lonely, the hopeful, the healing. I want it to remind people they’re not alone.
In a world that can feel so isolated, I want to brand my music around mental health and create something that spreads love and togetherness.
Because I believe in the power of music. And I believe in the message I have to share.
This drive isn’t just taking me to graduation—it’s taking me closer to the life I’ve always dreamed of.
