A moment I’ll never forget

There was a time I felt like I had to keep everyone happy saying “yes” even when it drained me, staying silent just to avoid conflict, constantly shrinking myself to stay likable.

It took one moment, someone crossing a boundary I didn’t know I was allowed to have to wake me up.

It wasn’t the worst thing someone had ever done to me.

But it was the first time I chose me instead of peacekeeping.

It felt terrifying.

But also… freeing.

Since then, I’ve learned that not every lesson comes from chaos.

Some come quietly, through discomfort, reflection, and finally, self-respect.

Have you ever had a moment like that?

Where you finally chose yourself, even if it wasn’t easy?

I’d love to hear what changed you. 🫶🏻
