「河原町 小籠包」で探している人にまず伝えたいのは、アクセスの良さと“頼むべき看板メニュー”が分かりやすいこと。私は河原町駅から歩いて行きましたが、徒歩3分くらいで着いて体感的にもかなり近め。買い物ついで・観光ついでに寄りやすい立地でした。 注文で迷ったら、やっぱり『伝説の8色小籠包』を最初に入れるのがおすすめです。8色って見た目が可愛いだけかと思いきや、天然素材だけで色付けされていて、食べ比べが楽しいのがポイント。レンゲにのせてからそっと皮を破ると、スープが“じゅわ〜”っと出てくるので、最初の一口は特に慎重に。私はうっかり勢いよく割りそうになって、危うくスープをこぼすところでした。 個人的に良かったのは、小籠包だけで終わらないところ。店内メニューが本場レベルで種類が多く（体感でもかなり豊富）、小籠包の合間に別の料理を挟むと満足度が一気に上がります。例えば、パラパラ系の炒飯は箸休め的にちょうどよく、辛いものが好きなら麻婆豆腐を合わせると“甘み→辛み→旨み”の流れで口が飽きません。グループで行くなら、8色小籠包＋炒飯＋麻婆豆腐みたいにシェア前提で頼むと、京都ごはんとしてもしっかり成立します。 あと、期間限定でキャンペーンがある時期はかなりお得。私が見た情報だと、8色小籠包を頼むとオリジナル小籠包がもらえることもあるので、行く前に公式や店舗案内で最新情報を軽くチェックしておくと安心です。 最後に、写真を撮るなら最初に。湯気とカラフルさが映えるので、届いた瞬間がベストタイミングでした。河原町エリアで「小籠包をちゃんと食べたい」と思った日に、かなり使いやすいお店だと思います。
