マシュマロはそのまま食べる以外にも、いろいろなアレンジが楽しめるスイーツ素材です。例えば、レンジで加熱して柔らかくしたマシュマロを餅と組み合わせると、もちもちとした食感が楽しめてまるで雪見だいふくの皮のような仕上がりになります。この時、耐熱容器に入れて2分程度レンジで加熱し、片栗粉を薄くまぶしたラップで包んでおくと扱いやすく、形も整いやすいですよ。 また、マシュマロを水で洗って余分な甘みを軽減し、牛乳に浸した後よく混ぜて冷やすと、プリンのようななめらかなデザートになります 。簡単にできるので、バレンタインや子どものおやつにぴったりです。さらに、薄くスライスしたマシュマロをレンジで加熱することで、カリカリ食感のマシュマロせんべいも楽しめます。レンジのワット数や加熱時間（500wで約1分40秒）がポイントで、焦がさずに香ばしく仕上げるコツです。 私自身もバレンタインで大量にマシュマロを余らせてしまったことがありますが、これらの裏ワザを試すようになってからは無駄なく使い切れるようになりました。特に子どもたちにはプリン風デザートが大好評で、簡単なのにみんなが喜んでくれるのでリピートしています。日常のちょっとした工夫で、いつものマシュマロが楽しいおやつに変身するので、ぜひ試してみてくださいね。
