From the streets to luxury sheets 🙀

Do you ever do something out of the ordinary and get an unexpected surprise?

Well that is exactly what happened to me. I parked my car where I never park, to run into my apartment to grab something. As I came out a heard a baby kitten screaming. I looked around and thought it was coming from a sewer drain. Turns out he was in the rim of a car tire on the side of a busy road.

I have no idea how he got there but he was alone and I knew I had to save him. It took me awhile to get him but when I did I knew I was never going to give him up. He was so tiny, at about 4 weeks old.

First stop was to the pet wash. This baby was terrified and covered in fleas. I spent an hour washing him and picking off fleas one by one.

Second stop was to the pet store to buy pet supplies and food. He rode along and feel asleep in the floorboard of my car. At this point I think he realized he was safe.

Fast forward and I realize this kitten was not average. He started using the litter box right away. He wanted to go everywhere with me and was not afraid to ride in cars. I bought him a harness and took him to the park where he loves to go on trails and run up hills.

He is a very adventurous soul and is extremely vocal. I did not see myself having a cat as a dog was on my mind.. but this little guy acts just like a puppy. He loves snow and to play fetch. He sleeps throughout the night under the covers and on the pillow. He was the last thing I expected to find and I am so thankful I did.

I make sure to spoil him and give him the best life, as animals are not on this earth for very long. Every meal he has is warm and homemade. He has cat beds all over the house and loves to snuggle. I can’t wait to get him a friend and watch what he does.

Kittens are often found in unexpected places, just like my little buddy. It's essential to know where and how to rescue them safely. Providing a nurturing environment can transform a kitten’s life, allowing them to thrive. Bringing a kitten into your life can be a rewarding experience filled with love and companionship. Be prepared for their playful antics and vocal nature as they adjust to their new home. With patience and love, your new kitten can become a cherished part of your family.
