My eyes may close when I smile, but I noticed ever

😁🫣😉

2025/5/22 Edited to

... Read moreI've always noticed that when I genuinely smile, my eyes tend to squint or even completely close. It's almost like my face can't contain the joy, and my eyes are the first to show it! Sometimes people joke, 'Don't make me smile too hard, my eyes will close!' but for me, it's a characteristic I've come to embrace. It feels authentic, like my entire self is participating in the moment of happiness. So, what does it truly mean to have 'smiling eyes,' especially when they close? Many people believe that a smile that reaches and affects the eyes is the ultimate sign of sincerity. This is often referred to as a Duchenne smile – a genuine expression of positive emotion. If you've ever heard someone say 'a smile that doesn't reach the eyes,' they're usually referring to a forced or insincere grin, where only the mouth moves. When my eyes crinkle or disappear, I feel it's my most authentic expression, showing a deep, unfiltered emotion rather than just a polite gesture. This brings me to the idea of 'how to describe a smile romantically.' It’s not just about the curve of the lips, but the entire facial expression, especially those charming eye movements. When you’re trying to capture the essence of a loved one's joyful expression, think about the details. Instead of just ‘she smiled,’ you might say, ‘Her smile was so radiant, her eyes crinkled into crescent moons, sparkling with genuine delight.’ Or, ‘His genuine grin made his eyes disappear in pure happiness, a sight that always melted my heart.’ These descriptions convey warmth, authenticity, and a deep emotional connection that goes beyond just the mouth. It’s about appreciating the full, uninhibited display of joy. It’s fascinating how much emotion our eyes can convey, even when they’re seemingly ‘closed’ by a big smile. It’s an unspoken language of happiness and connection. It’s those moments when you feel so much joy that your whole face, especially your eyes, participates in the expression. So, next time you catch yourself or someone else with 'disappearing' eyes while smiling, know that it's likely a beautiful, genuine expression of happiness. It's a reminder that true joy often overflows, touching every part of our being and showing up in the most endearing ways.

I said sorry for everything… until I noticed
I was the kind of person who’d say “sorry” when YOU bumped into me. I apologized for existing, for speaking, for having needs, even for feeling emotions. It wasn’t until someone close to me pointed it out: “You know you say sorry like, 10 times a conversation, right?” that I really started noticing

Living next to someone who passed away unexpectedly is something I never thought I’d experience, and honestly, it was one of the scariest moment in my apartment life. At first, all I noticed was a weird smell that just wouldn’t go away—and then the fly started. I kept reaching out to management, fe
